Company
2008

At the beginning of the year, a new subsidiary is created in Berlin (Germany).

Quality management procedures are put in place in accordance with ISO 9001 standards with the aim of obtaining this certification.

Investment in Research and Development, including the purchase of 15 TRADOS LSP licences, accounted for 12% of the company's sales figures over the first half of 2008.

2007

Altomia expands and the company increases its external workforce with the development of its database to include 2,500 translators, a figure which has grown continuously ever since.

The annual performance figures are a record compared to other French translation agencies: over 10 million words translated, 50% of which undergo post-editing and DTP before being returned to the client.

The marketing manager decides to open a branch in Paris which is to be entirely devoted to the company's marketing activities.

An additional office is opened in London (United Kingdom), enabling Altomia to be closer to its clients on the other side of the Channel.

2006

Altomia is an established company with a tailored development plan, sound financial resources and qualified staff.

The first quarter of this year is a landmark stage in the history of the company, which wins a tender to translate medical documents consisting of over 3 million words.

The company's head office remains in Boulogne-sur-Mer and the company settles in more spacious premises. An IT department is set up to take care of the technical aspects of the company's projects involving more than 12 people.

Altomia's first subsidiary opens in Alger (Algeria) to meet the growing demand of the Middle-Eastern markets. Within two months the company has made a name for itself in this region thanks to large projects from the United Arab Emirates.

2005

Altomia sets up a translation agency based in Boulogne-sur-Mer (Northern France).
