The quality control process begins when the first contact is made with the client, before the translation work begins. Quality control is preliminary to any checks carried out. It begins with the careful selection of the members of the translation team depending on their respective specialities and working languages. During the translation process, the translators' questions are centralised and submitted to the client along with the answers of our proofreaders for approval or modification. The project manager's job is to listen to the client's comments and suggestions throughout the project. He also oversees the smooth running of the various stages, the coordination of the various tasks involved in the project and the management of the translation team. The reviewing stage is a fundamental part of the quality control process. Each translated document is sent to our team of proofreaders. They will carefully verify all aspects of the translated text (spelling, grammar, turns of phrase, etc.) and also ensure that the form and content (e.g. numeric data, tables, codes, etc.) have been respected. During this process, we also check that each stage has been carried out in accordance with the predetermined guidelines and that the translators have used the appropriate translation techniques, glossaries and vocabulary lists for the project. The quality control process continues with the delivery of the translated documents. An internal evaluation of the project will be carried out and a report submitted to the client informing them of any difficulties encountered, solutions implemented and suggestions for improvements for future projects. Any client who should so wish will have a terminological database unique to their company so that all translations provided by us will be consistent and homogenous. |
